The auction for coal blocks has entered its 11th round, with a total of 20 coal mines up for bidding, including five from Jharkhand. One coal block is from North Karanpura Coalfield and the other four coal mines are from the Rajmahal Coalfield region. This follows the completion of the 10th round of coal block auctions, and the Central Government has swiftly launched the next phase. The 11th round includes mines from Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha, with Jharkhand contributing five coal blocks, namely – Seregarha (Latehar), Jawardaha North and South (Pakur, Godda & Sahibganj), and Margo East and West coal mines (Pakur).

In addition to these 20 new blocks, seven coal mines that were not auctioned in the 10th round have also been included in this 11th round. These mines are spread across different states: four from Chhattisgarh, three from Maharashtra, four from Madhya Pradesh, five from Jharkhand, two from Arunachal Pradesh, and two from Odisha.
