Ranchi: Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy is expected to visit Jharkhand on 9th January. The preliminary information regarding his visit has been communicated to the Coal India subsidiaries. During his visit, Reddy is likely to review the operations of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and CMPDI (Central Mine Planning and Design Institute), two key subsidiaries of Coal India operating in the state.
Sources suggest that the minister may also lay the foundation stones for several new projects and inaugurate some of the completed initiatives. This visit will mark Reddy’s first trip to Central Coalfields Limited since taking over as the Union Coal Minister. His visit is expected to boost the morale of the employees and also highlight the Government’s focus on enhancing coal production and improving infrastructure in the region.
Further details about the specific projects to be launched or inaugurated during the visit are yet to be disclosed. However, this visit is seen as an important step in strengthening the coal sector and ensuring sustainable growth in Jharkhand, a key coal-producing state in India.
