Hazaribagh: Under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay, a meeting of the CSR Committee has been organized today in the Deputy Commissioner’s office, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (DDC) Ishtiaq Ahmad. During the meeting, DDC Ishtiaq Ahmad and District Project Officer Pankaj Tiwari jointly reviewed the progress of schemes being implemented under the CSR funds. They directed the concerned companies to provide a list of the progress of the schemes they are operating and the work being carried out through these initiatives.
Representatives from companies such as CCL, Adani Enterprises, NTPC, NMDC, ONGC, and Prabha Energy briefed the DDC on the development work they are doing for public welfare. These initiatives include the installation of solar light systems for children, construction of Anganwadi centers, streetlights, providing utensils for Anganwadi centers, deep boring, and several other CSR activities.
During the meeting, the DDC instructed CCL officials to promptly install high mast lights near 14 Mile. The officials from Argada Company informed the DDC that they had finalized locations for three solar panels and deep boring, with work set to begin in the coming days. The construction of boundary walls and toilets had already been completed. They also mentioned that the tender for sewing machines had been finalized, and the distribution to women would take place shortly.
DDC Directed for Geo-Tag Implementation
The DDC was informed that the tender for the construction of PCC roads in Potang Panchayat had been issued, and work would commence soon. The DDC directed them to geo-tag the implemented works and provide photos for documentation. Officials from Keredari Coal Mines shared that they are providing school bags, benches, and library development for schoolchildren.
The DDC instructed the Keredari officials to coordinate with the District Education Officer (DEO) and District Social Coordinator (DSC) regarding the activities being carried out in schools. The representatives from Pakri Barwadih Coal Mines informed the DDC about their plans to create a Martyrs Memorial, provide financial support to an HIV organization and a school for hearing-impaired children, and renovate Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Stadium.
The DDC instructed the relevant officials to provide a list of all ongoing schemes and mentioned that distribution of utensils in schools and Anganwadi centers should be postponed for now. The DDC also directed the officials to complete the CSR-funded schemes as soon as possible so that new projects for public welfare can be implemented.
The meeting was attended by District Planning Officer Pankaj Kumar Tiwari, District Social Welfare Officer Shipra Sinha, company representatives, and other officials.
