Jamshedpur: Tata Steel has announced changes in the responsibilities of four senior officers, including three transfers and one promotion, as part of an organisational reshuffle. The company issued a circular detailing the new assignments, with the changes taking effect between 1st October and 15th November 2026.
Chandan Kumar Singh, currently Head Sales Planning Downstream (IL-3) in Sales Planning and Administration–Flat Products, will take charge as Head Sales Planning Upstream (IL-3) from October 1. He will operate from the Kolkata Marketing and Sales office and report functionally to the Chief of Sales Planning and Administration Flat Product. Pallav Garg, currently Head of Market Strategy and New Projects (IL-3), will move to Head Sales Planning-Downstream (IL-3) from 15th October and will also be based in Kolkata.

Malay Chaudhary, Head MED Mechanical in Asset and Energy Management at Tata Steel Jamshedpur (IL-3), has been appointed Chief Project and Plant Services at Tata Steel Meramandali under Asset and Energy Management. The appointment followed a selection process and has been made at his existing level. He will take charge from October 1 and will be based at Meramandali in Odisha, reporting to the Chief of Mechanical Maintenance Meramandali.
Abhishek Raj, Senior Area Manager-Rolling (IL-4) at the Wire Rod Mill, has been promoted after being selected for the position of Head Rolling Mill (IL-3), Ludhiana Projects. He will take charge from 15th November and will be based in Ludhiana. The appointments and transfers form part of Tata Steel’s latest senior-level organisational changes across its sales, project and manufacturing functions.
