Dhanbad: The two days International Conference on Advances in Sustainable Development, Innovation and Business (IC ADIB-2026) concluded at IIT-ISM Dhanbad with discussions on sustainable development, technological innovation and business transformation. Experts from academia, industry, research institutions and the public sector discussed ways to bring research outcomes closer to industry requirements and create stronger avenues for collaboration.

Researchers Presented Papers on Sustainability and Innovation
The final day began with Technical Session-3, where researchers and scholars presented papers covering different aspects of sustainable development, innovation and business. Keynote addresses were later delivered by BCCL Head (Sales Realisation) Dev Kumar Verma, East Central Railway DRM Akhilesh Mishra and DVC Additional Secretary Dr D.V. Ranjan. They discussed the role of industry and public sector organisations in taking sustainability and innovation initiatives forward.
Conference Created Platform for Research Collaboration
At the valedictory session, co-convener Prof Shashank Bansal presented the key outcomes of the conference, while convener Prof Himanshu Gupta announced the Best Paper Award. Organising Secretary Prof Preeti Roy proposed the vote of thanks. During the inaugural session, Prof Moinak Maiti of Wits University, Johannesburg, and Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar of the University of Queensland had spoken about the role of data and interdisciplinary approaches in sustainability research. The conference provided a common platform for academia, industry and the public sector to share research, build collaborations and exchange knowledge.
