Ranchi: Jharkhand has received a proposal from NAN Annex to set up an industrial explosives manufacturing plant in the State, which the company describes as the first facility of its kind in Asia. Representatives of NAN Annex met Industries Department Secretary Arva Rajkamal on Tuesday to discuss the proposed project, which is expected to bring investment and create new employment opportunities in the State.
NAN Annex is a joint venture between NAN Greenmet (India) and Annex SA (Chile). During the meeting, the company representatives discussed the proposed plant and its investment plans with the Industries Department. Industries Director Vishal Sagar was also present. The company said the project could create new jobs along with adding an industrial manufacturing facility in the State.

Rajkamal assured the company representatives of the State Government’s support for setting up such a plant. JIADA Managing Director is currently outside the State and a detailed meeting with the company is expected after his return. The company will present its complete proposal during that meeting, following which a meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren is expected. The project is still at the proposal and discussion stage, with further decisions to follow after the detailed presentation.
