Central Coalfields Limited Won Three National Awards for CSR, Rural Development and Community Welfare

Ranchi: Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, has received three national awards for its work in corporate social responsibility, rural development and community welfare. The awards were presented at the 4th Fortune Leadership Awards 2026, held at Hotel Radisson Blu in New Delhi. CCL received the CSR Excellence Award, Rural Development Impact Award and CSR Leader of the Year Award. The awards recognise the company’s initiatives in community development, rural livelihoods and social responsibility. CCL’s rural development project ‘Unnat Krishi: Smart Agriculture’ was selected for the Rural Development Impact Award.

‘Unnat Krishi’ Links 100 Tribal Farmers to Modern Farming

The ‘Unnat Krishi’ project is being implemented with technical support from Nidhi Samriddhi Foundation and directly involves 100 tribal farmers from Rendo village in Kanke block of Ranchi district. The programme aims to introduce modern farming techniques, improve crop production and strengthen farmers’ livelihoods. It also seeks to improve the overall living conditions of participating families.

HR Director Received Individual Honour

CCL Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra received the CSR Leader of the Year Award for his leadership and contribution to social responsibility initiatives. The company also received the CSR Excellence Award for its work in inclusive and sustainable community development. The three awards give national recognition to CCL’s ongoing CSR and rural development programmes.
