Trainee IAS Officer Ritvik Mehta Taken Charge as Chhatarpur SDO

Palamu: Trainee IAS officer Ritvik Mehta has taken charge as the new Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) of Chhatarpur subdivision in Palamu. Outgoing SDO Ganesh Mahto handed over the charge to him. After taking charge, Mehta said speeding up development work and improving basic services for people would be among his priorities. Recent reports from Palamu had also identified Mehta as a trainee IAS officer working with the district administration.

Roads, Power and Drinking Water on Priority List

Mehta said efforts would be made to improve roads, electricity, drinking water and education in the subdivision through coordination with the concerned departments. He said better coordination among departments would be necessary to take development works forward and address issues at the local level.

Improving healthcare services will also be a priority, Mehta said. He said steps would be taken to improve facilities at hospitals and health centres in the subdivision so that people can access medical services more easily. The new SDO also said the administration would work on issues requiring intervention at the local level.

Quick Action on Public Grievances

Mehta said resolving public grievances quickly and making the administration more responsive to people would also be a priority. He asked officers and employees to work as a team. Officials and employees present during the change of charge welcomed Mehta and assured him of cooperation in his administrative responsibilities, while outgoing SDO Ganesh Mahto was wished well on his retirement.
