Lohardaga: The two days 57th Central Working Committee meeting of the Bharatiya Khanij Dhatu Mazdoor Mahasangh, an industrial wing of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, began at Agrasen Bhawan in Lohardaga on Saturday. Representatives from mineral, metal and other industrial sectors from different states took part in the meeting, which focused on workers’ rights, workplace participation and strengthening the organisation.

The meeting was chaired by federation president Chandrashekhar Pandit. Delegates from different industrial units placed before the committee the problems and challenges faced by workers in their respective areas. Discussions covered workers’ rights, their participation in industrial units and the role of the organisation in protecting workers’ interests amid changes in the industrial sector.
Focus on Solutions and Workers’ Participation
Several issues related to the labour sector were taken up during the discussions, including resolving workers’ problems, protecting their rights and increasing their participation in industrial units. Representatives also shared experiences and suggestions from different parts of the country. The meeting is also discussing ways to strengthen organisational activities and prepare a common approach to workers’ issues at the national level.
Second Day Sessions to Continue
State Sanghchalak Sachchidanand Agrawal, Ramchandra Gope, regional organisation secretary Dharmdas Shukla, DK Pandey and other office bearers attended the meeting. Federation general secretary Bhola Soni conducted the proceedings. Ramchandra Gope of Lohardaga played a role in organising the meeting and coordinating with delegates from different states. Discussions on workers’ interests and other labour-related matters will continue in various sessions on Sunday.
